It's
very easy to do a "basic" camp search. You can
use a basic search to get results quickly if, for
example, you are looking for a specific camp in a
specific state or province. However, for better results,
we recommend category and advanced camp search methods.
Please note: The maximum number of camps that a search
will return is 1000. |

|
Focus:
In most cases, you are looking for either a general camp
or a specialty camp. But you can search for both general
and specialty camps at the same time. If you do, the
search results will be a mix of general and specialty
camps, which could prove to be more confusing than
helpful. If you are looking for Travel camps, see item 4
below. |
| 3. |
Specialization
Category: If you checked "Specialty
Focus," select the specialty category and the
corresponding specialization within each category. If you
do not select "Specialization," all choices for
the category you selected will be searched. If you
checked "Specialty Focus" but did not select
either a category or a specialization, these fields will
be ignored. |
| 4. |
Travel
Destinations: Select the region where your
travel camp is going. The states covered by US regions
are shown by clicking on Region Values link. If you have
not selected the Travel camp as the Focus, this field
will be ignored. |
| 5. |
State
and Zip Code: You may search for camps in a
specific state (or province) or camps a certain distance
from a particular (US only) zip code. |
| 6. |
Camp
Name: You also may search for a camp by only
part of its name. For example, a search for camps with
the word "New" in their names will find camps
like New York Camp, New Image Camp, etc. |
| 7. |
Keywords:
You also may type a keyword, which is anything that
you're looking for in a camp, such as a name, an activity
(tennis, baseball), or a qualification (ACA, CCI, etc.).
This is a very powerful search method that must be used
with care. A general keyword will return a large number
of camps, whereas a specific keyword will help you narrow
down your choices. |
